The Joy of the Lord

How to make it Your Strength!

Nehemiah 8 : 10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

1.    Get into His Presence    Psalms 16:11

Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

2.    Trust in the Lord’s Goodness    Isaiah 61:3

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

3.    Be Content all the time    Philippians 4:11

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

4.    Rejoice in Tribulation    2 Corinthians 7:4

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

5.    Learn to Sow    Psalms 126:5-6

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

6.    Sow Generously         2 Corinthians 8:2

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

7.            Be like Paul and Silas    Acts 16:11-34

Beaten almost to death they prayed, rejoiced and sang praises to God. Their witness was evident to all and so when the Lord turned their circumstances around people were saved!
